Bible Quote Mar 11th 1 Peter 3:15

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” - 1 Peter 3:15

Some say Peter could not have written his letter because they don’t believe in adult learning. After Peter’s education as a disciple of Jesus, Peter was privileged and had ample opportunity to learn advanced rhetoric. But the wording here is simple and pure. God is holy. God is exalted and above the sin of which people are immersed. In order to deal with sin, it is important not to deal in sin, but to look for God. The simplicity of the words is what informs those who claim Peter could not have written it.

Peter loved Jesus, but he denied him when he was asked about it on the morning of Jesus’ crucifixion. Three times. Peter revered Jesus, and Jesus loved Peter, but Peter did not have an answer. Maybe, had Peter answered, he would have been killed. But everyone will endure mortal death until God decides they won’t. Even John, who had felt for a time he would not.

The correct answer if you know the Lord and love Him is you know the Lord and love Him. And there may be dire consequences. But mostly, there won’t be. And if you speak simply and honestly, it impresses people. It suggests integrity and that is a desirable thing. Know your heart and speak your mind. And stand to be corrected when you are wrong. It is ok to disagree with others, too. But do it lovingly. https://rumble.com/veex27-bible-quote-march-11th-1-peter-315.html
